Specialisation Course - Civil-Military Coordination

The Civil-Military Coordination course has the character of a staff level course. The modules provide participants with knowledge of the objectives of the different professional categories in an operation, so as to foster wider understanding and form the basis for better coordination. The modules enhance desirable attitudes for co-operation, and promote a reflective and cooperative approach to the complex issues of crisis management. The participants are provided with an overview of the different functional tasks of all the mission components and their interrelations, which demonstrates the need for coherent action in a multifunctional mission. The understanding of the components’ different administrative and management cultures paves the way for converging identity and philosophy for multifunctional missions.
